Charlisse Johnson was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York -the Coney Island area to be exact. Since childhood she has had a passion for helping ours and the environment. A series of jobs and volunteer opportunities, that include, but are not limited to:

• Visiting Nurse Services of New York.
• Neighborhood Housing Services.
• New York City Housing Authority.
• Volunteer work with CBO’s and Faith based organizations.

Employment and/or volunteer experiences sharpened her skills to obtain employment at Department of Mental Health and Hygiene. Her role is centered around addressing maternal and infant health disparities in communities that were heavily impacted by Covid. This goal is reached by identifying eligible providers for the Coordinated Intake Referral System. This system is on the Now Pow platform
