Presented by Charlisse N. Johnson and Beatrice Hobour
The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene seeks to promote home visiting services to families residing in communities disproportionately burdened by maternal and infant health inequities, particularly black women and women of color. The New Family Home Visits initiative aims to improve health outcomes in communities by linking families to quality care and resources. The Department is committed to addressing the root cause of disparities and working hard to resolve it by partnering with healthcare providers and community-based organizations. Through this initiative, the Department hopes to empower women and families to make informed decisions for their health, well-being, and family.
