Damalia Jackson serves as the Program Director of the maternal and infant health programs at CAMBA. She brings more than a decade of leadership experience advancing maternal and reproductive health within varying settings ranging from city public hospitals to community-based organizations. Prior to joining CAMBA, she worked as the Project Director of the HRSA-funded Healthy Start Project at Northern Manhattan Perinatal Partnership. She has also previously served as the director of a WIC Program and provided technical assistance and capacity to community based organizations and state health departments around the inclusion of peer workers into their organization. She is committed to advancing the work of eliminating maternal and infant morbidity and mortality in vulnerable groups. She received her BS in Community Health Education and Citation in Women’s Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park and a MPH in Reproductive, Adolescent and Family Health from Columbia University.
