Melissa is a compassionate public servant, an advocate, a resource connector, and educator.
She currently works with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) and is passionate about maternal health. She has a Masters in Sexual Reproductive Health and continues to support vulnerable communities throughout NYC. Outside of her work with the city, she serves as a doula, facilitate parenting classes, teaches English as a second language and mentors immigrant youth.
